Water Tax Department – Responsibilities

The Water Tax Department of Pakadi Bharat Khand is responsible for organizing, designing, executing, and monitoring various water supply schemes as per the town’s master plan. These responsibilities aim to ensure efficient water distribution and infrastructure management.

Key Functions

Planning and implementation of new water sources, water tap connections, and distribution stations.
Upgradation of existing water treatment plants, underground reservoirs, and construction of overhead tanks.
Laying of water transmission and distribution pipelines and installation of valves.
Execution of all works through public tenders and authorized contractors approved by the Nagar Panchayat authorities.
Issuing new plumber licenses and renewing existing ones as per official procedures.
Providing water tankers in areas facing complaints regarding water quality or insufficient supply.
Maintenance of water treatment plants, distribution stations, valves, and pipelines through departmental teams or private participants.
