Industry, Factory & Trade License: As per Section 313 of BPMC Act, 1949, it is mandatory to obtain permission from the Municipal Commissioner before starting any industry, factory, or trade.
Storage License: Under Section 376 of the BPMC Act, 1949, listed commodities or trade involving storage must have a valid license. A list of such commodities is displayed publicly.
Validity & Renewal
Licenses are valid for a period of one year – from January to December. Renewal is allowed for up to 3 years. License holders must apply for renewal in December every year.
How to Apply
Submit application form to the Nagar Panchayat office.
Attach required documents: shop registration, tax receipt, rent agreement (if rented), food license, drug license, MPCB clearance, MSME registration, or relevant license based on business type.
Pay applicable licensing fees.
License is issued within 7 working days after verification.
